Somewhat of a simple question....

Now, I've read all the memories and I couldn't find any information relating to the question I have. It's sorta simple so I feel kinda silly, but.. here goes..

You know how when you make a transparent background for an icon? Well Sometimes, I used a brush with jagged edges to give the icon a torn and jagged look (sort of like grissom's POTC icon). The only thing is, I don't know how to outline it because it's not a straight line. And I wondered if there was anything easier I could do than zooming in until I select every single little square and paint bucket them black.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

A very helpful technique that somebody recently posted on this community: using psp, you can outline pretty much anything by
1) copying and then pasting the object or text you want to outline onto a plain background picture filled with the colour you want to outline it with
2) copy the whole picture merged
3) select the background with the "magic wand" tool
4) invert the selection, then "modify selection" --> expand (choose how many pixels you want as an outline)
5) press ctrl+c to copy the expanded selection, then paste as new selection - should be outlined now!

Thank you!
*offers you multitudes of human sacrifices*

Well not really, but thank you so much. I've been trying to figure out how to do that for the longest time! :)
