NOTE: When I posted the tutorials, I went back and edited some stuff and it appears I added step 2 from Kristen's tut, to Peyton's tut and didn't even realize it. I am so sorry and so embarrassed. I'v edited everything and it is fine now.
Prepare Your Base (Crop, Soften, Sharpen, ETC) I Used This Sceencap for the first tutorial. I cropped my base to the size I wanted, then used my noise remover tool, to smooth her skin. I also used the clone tool to cover the CW Logo. You should have a base something like this..
1.) Duplicate The PREPARED Base (Three Times) Set the 1st Layer to Screen 100% 2nd Layer to Screen 50% and the 3rd Layer to Overlay 100%.
2.) Make (TWO) New Layers. Floodfill the 1st Layer (Above Peyton) with #3e0000 - Set Layer to Lighten 100%. Now floodfill the 2nd Layer with #00003f - Set Layer to Lighten 100%.
Merge All Flatten DONE! You should have a base something like this.
3.) Make a New Raster Layer and floodfill it with #c0c0c0 - Set Layer to Exclusion 50%. Now click on your Eraser Tool and choose a Soft, Round Brush. I set my size to around 280 and lowered my opacity to around 25 and clicked/erased the gray over her face. I just erased enough to keep the soft look, but let her face be more visible.
4.) Add This texture and set the layer to Screen 100%. Now add you text, brush, etc. I added my text, with a dropshadow and the dotted brush, with a dropshadow, to make them stand out.
5.) Make a New Raster Layer and floodfill with #000040 - Set Layer to Exclusion 100%.
Merge All Flatten - FINISHED. Depending on how much you smooth the skin and how much you erase, the colors will vary.
