My First Tutorial

Hey Guys... This is my first icon tutorial ever lol.

From To

Photoshop CS2 / Level: Easy

1- Crop your image into 100x100.

2- Make a selective color layer. (Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color)
Reds: -100 +3 -55 +5
Neutrals: -9 -2 +2 -10
Whites: +100 -3 -95 -19

3- Make another selective layer. (Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color)
Reds: -35 -8 -25 -3
Yellows: -100 +58 -100 +4
Whites: +75 -4 +34 -26
Neutrals: +31 0 -24 -14

4- Another selective color layer (this is the last selective color layer, I promise!)
Reds: -100 +3 +33 +33
Magentas: -33 -23 +56 +29
Whites: +36 +15 +11 -5
Neutrals: -11 +1 -4 0
Blacks: +9 +20 +51 +31

5- Now let's make a color balance layer (Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Color Balance)
Midtones: -69 -26 +6
Highlights: -22 -14 -26
Shadows: -19 -11 -14

6- We're almost finishing this coloring. Let's give some contrast to your icon. Create a new Brightness/Contrast layer (Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Brightness/Contrast). Set this layer as:
Brightness: -7
Contrast: +4

7- Merge all layers (Shift CTRL Alt E) and sharpen your image (Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen). I usually sharpen only once, but you can sharpen how many times you want.

And we're done!

- Comments are love ♥.
- Show me your final result. I'd be glad to see it!
- If you have doubts don't hesitate to ask me.
- And I'm sorry for my poor English! lol
