- duplicate base, bring to the top and set it at multiply @ 40%.
- still too bright? up the percentage to 50%, 60% and so on. dont go to 90% or 100%.

- click on the base, go to filter >> blur >> gaussian blur. radius= 1.0 pixels.
- still blur? radius= 2.0 pixels
