Go from to or to using photoshop.

Fisrt tutorial:
Open and prepare your base ( I used a picture of Sam and Meg from supernatural).

Make a hue/saturation layer:
Master saturation: 20

Make a selective color layer:
R: -100 40 20 5
Y: -100 10 50 0
N: 0 0 0 -20
B: 0 0 0 5

Make another selective color layer:
R: -50 10 30 -15
Y: 0 10 100 0
C: 100 0 0 100
B: 100 0 0 0
W: 50 0 0 20
N: -5 -5 -5 0
B: 0 0 0 5

Last selective color layer:
R: -10 0 10 0
Y: 0 10 100 0
C: 100 0 0 0
N: 5 5 10 -20
B: 0 0 0 5


Examples:



Second tutorial:
Open and prepare your base ( I used a picture of Sam and Meg from supernatural).

Make a new layer and fill it with #e8e7a7, set it to soft light at about 50% opacity.

Make a selective color layer:
R: -100 50 20 10
Y: -100 20 100 10
W: 30 0 0 10
N: 5 0 0 -20
B: 0 0 0 5

Make another selective color layer:
R: -50 10 30 -15
Y: 0 10 100 0
C: 50 0 0 0
B: 50 0 0 0
W: 50 0 0 0
N: 5 -5 -5 5
B: 0 0 0 10

Make a new layer and fill it with #260a0a, set it to exclusion.
