I have ImageReady 3.0 and only ImageReady 3.0 (No Photoshop, etc.)

I want to enhance my animated gifs, brighten them, color them. Make them "pop" basically.

ImageReady doesn't have an Adjustment Layer option so far as I can tell, so are there any alternatives or do you have to manipulate each layer individually?

Alternatively, does GIMP or any other freeware/reasonably priced software offer a similar effect?

I've been searching through ImageReady/GIMP tutorials for this but have come up empty-handed so far.

Thanks!

GIMP has most of the color adjustment tools found in Photoshop, but you would have to apply the adjustments to each frame individually (GIMP doesn't do adjustments on a separate layer). Also, you can make animations directly in GIMP, you wouldn't have to export the frames to ImageReady.

Awesome gifs!

So you're using this plug-in in ImageReady (or is it GIMP)? And does the CTRL+F work for any layer adjustments in ImageReady or just with the VP plug-in? Honestly, I'd feel kind of dumb for not knowing I can just CTRL+F to reapply changes to each layer. That would save a load of time!!

it's for ImageReady (as well as PS) and you apply the effect you want on 1 layer, and for the rest just press CTRL+F for the rest of the layers :)

here is a site for photoshop/imageready keyboard shortcuts :) they save A LOT of time. enjoy!
