Streaming Video

I'm after a program that will enable me to save streaming video to my Hard drive in another format so that I then will be able to take screencaps. Does anyone know of any? Can you do this in Quicktime?

Text paths in PS 7

How exactly do I work with paths in order to get my text to go in a squiggly line on an icon? For example, in a line like this:

I think I figured out how to do it for the shapes that already exist in Photoshop, but I can't figure out how to get the text to snap to a custom path, if that makes sense. I've been through the memories, but they haven't been very helpful. There are lots of tutorials for PSP, but not for PS, which is what I use.

Downloading fonts

Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker on this site or awhile, but haven't posted anything yet. So hi!
Ok, I think I have a fairly simple question, but I haven't been able to find the answer anywhere in the memories. *palm forehead*
I'm sure its there somewhere, someone else *must* have had this question.
Ok, so onto the point.
I've downloaded a font. Now how do I use it? Is there somewhere special I have to save it? Can I use it in programs like word too, or just photoshop? (I ave photoshop 6 btw...)
Any help you can give would be great! Thanks!
*hugs*

I have not used animation shop in like forever until today, and I made this icon.

Is it supposed to be this grainy?

And by the ways, I would like to share this information since I'm sure someone else might want to know this. I assume most of us use Virtual Dub to take screen caps. It is a great tool, but it doesn't support Windows Media Player files like .asf and .wmv files. For anyone who wishes to convert those files for mini-movie icons, try WinMPG Video Convert. And just in case anyone's wondering, try RM Converter for Real Media files (.rm & .ram).

Hi,

I just got Photoshop 8 a few days ago and have a question regaurding saving. I make an icon and everything is fine the color is nice and light the text is readable and everything, but after I save and I open up the file, the icon has turned really dark and the text is barely readable. I'm assuming there is some kind of setting that I am overlooking, but I am not sure what it is, as I am completely new to PS. Also, one last question, how do you colorize an image in PS? For example,

Thanks
