Helping icon makers one tutorial at a time.

I was wondering if anyone could explain to me how to use these templets or has a good tut for it??? I found one in psp7 community but for some reason I can't get it to work and its not really helpful so I was wondering if someone else could help me out??? that would be so much appericated thanks so much!!

In Photoshop 7, is there any way to copy a layer mask from one layer, and apply it to a different layer?

How do I take caps from an asx file? Or at the very least, how do I convert it to avi/mpg, so I can take caps from that?
