I use Photoshop 7 and would like to make diagonal blinds. I know how to make vertical and horizontal ones but I can't seem to figure out how to make my own diagonal blinds. Can someone help me out please?

Can someone point me in the direction of some photoshop (7.0) tutorials? I'm looking for a tutorial for blending in photoshop but wouldn't mind some other tutorials. thanks in advance!

Hey I've looked in the memories, but the majority of the tutorials are for Photoshop/PSP/Animation Shop, etc. and I dont have any of those. So I was wondering if anyone knew how to make the text on my icons without having those fancy smancy programs. The Bret text on the first one and the Kurt Cobain and dates on the second one. Oh and if you could tell me what fonts are on both, that would be great too! Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

I use PhotoStudio 2000SE aka ArcSoftPhotoStudio and Microsoft Gif Animator in case you needed to know that.

Nother newbie... le sigh

Ok.

I've made icons, but only out of bases that other, more experienced iconers have produced for me. (Gawd I sound like a nerd). Anyways, the program I have is Adobe PhotoDeluxe Business Edition 1.1, and I don't know much about cropping and the whole 100x100 pixels routine.

Can anyone with experience with this program help me out? I have a few questions.

-How do I know when I've crossed the 100x100 line?

-How do I change pic formats so that I can open them in APDBE?

-How do I crop to the right size for LJ icons?

Any help would be much appreciated. I know you get a lot of newbies, but these are my only quesions. I know how to use the special effects.

Curving Text with Photoshop (ImageReady!)

I know lots of Photoshoppers have coveted the ability PSP users have to create warped text by fitting text to a curve, so I figured I'd chime in with a vague tutorial on achieving a similiar effect in PS/IR. I don't think this has been covered in the memories -- but feel free to smack me if it has -- and I thought other Photoshoppers should know we can curve text; it's not just for PSP!

That said, I made this icon:

In ImageReady, the version that came bundled with PS7. I don't know how the ImageReady versions vary from PS to PS, so this tutorial only promises to work for Photoshop 7. Lemme know if it works with other versions?
