BS Player help

I use BS Player to cap things, but one function has never worked for me - the cap "what you see" bit. I'll open what I want to cap, and start capping, but no matter what I do, it always caps as the original image size, not the desktop size. I've checked time and time again, and I have it set right. I'm not sure if this will help or not, but here is a cap of my settings.

Any and all help is very appreciated. :)

(This was crossposted to cap_it, but it was about a month ago, and I didn't get ANY replies, so don't kill me =x)

Semi-transparent + drop shadow text for PSP8.

Alright... I'm pretty new to "advanced" icon making, so, excuse me if this is common knowledge or easy to find. =]

I checked through the memories - didn't seem to be there. Went through tutorials, guides, and all text-related memories (I even resorted into looking through psptutorials, etc.); it might've been there, actually, but a lot of images didn't show up because the entries were old, so I probably would've just looked over it. Either that, or I'm as blind as a bat!

Anyways, excuse my noob-ness, but how, pray tell, do you get font semi-transparent with the drop shadow like in this icon?

It looks pretty simple but I've spent about a few hours fiddling with effects, opacity, raster layers, drop shadow, and other things, but I can't seem to get it to work. Help (prefferably detailed as I am hopeless with figuring out blunt directions) would be greatly appreciated. :D Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Edit: Oh, not to mention, I'm using PSP8. Teehee. *forgetful!*

Brush Manager?

Ok, I'm sure most of you have heard about The Font Thing, and other font managers of that sort.

My question: Is there something out there along those lines for brushes? I haven't heard of anything, but I'd love it if there was.

Any and all help is appreciated ^-^

Bold Color/Color Enhancement Tutorial for PSP7

This tutorial is made for PSP 7, but it would probably work for PS and higher versions of PSP. You should have a good knowledge of your program, i.e. how to duplicate and create new layers, flood fill, et cetera. There are a total of 20-something layers (22 I believe), just so you know. Remember: This tutorial is not meant for you to whip out a clone icon.
