Sesshoumaru - Blood

Crying Effect

I was wondering if anyone knew how to do this effect

With Animation Shop 3 & PSP 8... If not, I understand. Thanks for reading. Sorry if this has been asked before also. I did find a tutorial on this, but it was with another program.

slanted text & image mapping

whenever i try & make slanted text in psp8, it always looks blurry. i'll rotate a picture, apply the text, then reverse the rotation & the text looks all blurry. does anyone know how to not make that happen??

thanks in advance!!

This is probably the dumbest question you will ever see but I am making icons in Photoshop CS and then all of a sudden instead of seeing my brush I see this little crosshair type cursor. How in the heck do you make that thing go away? lol

Mini tutorial: creating patterns

Someone just posted a question about a certain brush/pattern, and by the time I responded the entry was deleted. So I will post the comment for future references for anyone else; think of it as a mini-tutorial, but not. :P

The effect in question was one similar to the one in these icons (by me), with the diagonal lines:

* * *

If it is a brush, you can easily get by without it by creating a pattern. See here and here for instructions.

For that particular one, you'll want to open a new document that's 3x3 to 4x4 pixels, and create a line using the pencil tool diagonally across the image. Define as pattern, and voila. You can use layer effects to make it opaque or whatever.

Could someone please post a jpeg image of a brush?

Okay, I've been trying to find that sort of checkerboard brush used on a lot of icons for a long time now, with no luck. Recently, I saw a post on here that said the brush was made by saava . *shrugs* I don't know if that's right. I downloaded a set of her brushes, hoping that I would find it there, but my computer won't let me open the .zip file!! So I was wondering if someone could maybe post an image of the brush, like a jpeg picture or something, so I can just save it like that and save it as a brush in PSP. If someone could do that for me in a comment, I would be eternally grateful! Here are some previews of icons using the "checkerboard" brush, just so you know what I am talking about.

Another Quick Mod Post

Hi, gang.

Just over a week ago, I made a post addressing "where can I find this brush" posts.

In the wake of this, the number of posts asking where to find a specific brush has at the very least stayed the same, and I think it might even have increased.

So please, I remind you: thoroughly check the resource communities and websites listed in the icon_tutorial userinfo. There are many. Browse the archives of communities like 100x100_brushes. Browse the archives here, because people keep asking about the same brushes over and over. But try not to post looking for a specific brush. Ask the person who made the icon. Ask brush-makers. And if you must ask here, please don't make three posts in a row asking about separate brushes; combine. You can edit posts, if you think of something after the fact.

I've checked the memories but there's nothing that I want. See my icon here:

The colour is sort of dull. How do I brighten up certain parts of the icon? Or how do I create false lighting? Without making the whole picture light up? Help!

Does anyone here have the username of the person who made this brush/brush set? I used to have it, but I saved it from an image pack. For some reason all of my brushes I saved from image packs on PSP7 are gone, so I was just trying to get some of them back. Soo if anyone has the link to where I can get this brush set, that would be amazing. Thanks :)

For some reason, my Image Ready (The one that came with CS) is now saving my animations as .pngs or .jpgs. Why is it doing that? And how can I go back to saving as .gifs?
