Vibrant Caps

I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the vibrant coloring effect on the following icons in PSP8 (but I do have Photoshop CS):

I've tried checking previous posts and experimenting, but they never come close. Any help is appreciated, I'm dying to know.

Icon Tutorial Number One : Colors in Depth

I have people asking me for a tutorial. I ask people for tutorials. What is the deal with that? Anyways,  I found a tutorial a while ago I once liked and I changed it around quite a bit. Editing steps, adding steps, etc.

But I want to become a budding artist. I have PS and PSP on my computer, and this tutorial is for PSP but is easily translatable into other programs such as Photoshop. Anyways, here is today's tutorial:

A quick question.

Well, actually, more than one.

Does anyone know how to convert PSP gradients (I'm using PSP8) to PS gradients?

Can I just change the file extension of each, or no?

Help = greatly appreciated. :)

looking for a tutorial..

hi, I'm looking for a tutorial so I would be very pleased if someone knows it;
it's icon tutorial of Emma Watson, eyes & lips were sharpened if I remember right, it wasn't really colorful (something with blue burn & multiply leayrs, and curves I guess). no text just coloring. I think it was posted here 1-3 months back and there was also 3 other Emma icons made with the same style.

this is the pic which was used;

PS 7.0 Question!

I've been having trouble with saving images and simply using features in my Photoshop. I have version 7.0 and I've been using it on this computer for nearly a year now. For the last few months, I've had to copy and paste my icons/graphics into MS paint in order to save them.

I'm thinking it may be my computer, but I really don't know. Any ideas on why my photoshop freezes when I go to save images in photoshop? Or why I can't do text stroke and other effects without it freezing?

If you have any ideas please just take a moment and help me out. Thanks! I've put a few example of icons that I've saved in MS paint and the quality has been horrible under the cut, just so everyone has an idea how terrible my icons are when saved from paint.

I have a quick question. My pictures are grainy and the coloring seems off and like something is wrong. How do I change this? Ugh, I wish I could explain it better! Like there is 24bit and...err...okay, well hopefully someone can help me.

I'm using photoshop and yeah it's just in photoshop the rest of my comp is fine
