I've been wanting to do the magic wand method however, I've noticed that the wand simply eliminates one colour per selection. I've tried the extraction, magnetic wand, and the lasso tool method however, erasing the edges and so on and so forth take too much time. Is there any other way that one can eliminate the background and leave a selected object available?

Por favor.

Help? :(

When you save an image as a Jpeg on Adobe Photoshop 7, there are three options.

Baseline Standard, Optimized, and Scans with a number selection.

What is the default Photoshop setting for this?

It'd also be nice if someone would fill me in on what these mean lol. But mainly, the default is what I want to know. ^_^. Thanks.

I found these icons on one of the message boards I'm on(so I don't know who made them) and couldn't figure out for the life of me how any of the animation on them were done, or what program was used....

If any of you had the slightest clue, please, let me know!

I'm using PSP9 and AS3 by the way

And on this one, I know how to do the mini movie thing, but I'm not sure how to make it just disapear like that into text...

Thankyou for any help!

Picture from Word Document into Photoshop?

This is a rather odd question, and while its not icon specific, I'm asking it here because this community is so active and most of you seem to be very well versed in photoshop and in working with graphics.

Question: I have a lot of word files from years ago into which I cut and pasted artwork and fan art that I loved. Is there any way I can get any of the art contained in those word documents into photoshop?

Any help is appreciated.

Screencapping from Nintendo Gamecube

Hello there. I often see people who have made icons of video games, with pictures that are obviously from teh actual gameplay. Because I am so intensely love Tales of Symphonia enjoy making icons of series I enjoy, I've been wanting to make icons of Tales of Symphonia, but the only way I can figure to get pictures of them, aside from a very few rare ones online, is taking pictures via my camera, which never turn out that well. So I was wondering, is there a way to get decent screenshots on my computer from a Gamecube disk?

icon tutorial #1

After lurking here for ages and reading all these wonderful tutorials, I decided to join and post a tutorial myself. It's my first, so sorry if it reads a bit like "icons for dummies" :D

I use PS CS2, but it should be translatable to earlier versions and other progs.

We'll be going from this to this

Does anyone know how to do the coloring like in these icons:

I've left a comment, but alas, no reply. I'm more wondering how to do that last one the most, actually.

I use PSP8, and I've just figured out how to use curves too :D

If someone has any clue, I'd appreciate the help!

Hello everyone, I've been lurking for awhile now and I was wondering if anyone could either write me up a tut, or point me in the direction of one for Masking in Gimp.
I'm the kind of person that needs it written out for me step by step and in great detail, a little slow ; ) I suppose, and I've been wondering this for awhile. I've tried a few tuts on masking in general but I'm interested in how to use a pre made mask like this one ...
