a problem with PS7

I've been having a problem with Photoshop 7 lately. I haven't been able to use Ctrl+Alt+Z to undo multiple times. Ctrl+Z works just fine, but trying to do Ctrl+alt+z just does some random stuff. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?

oh, and the command shortcut isn't different in the Edit menu... nothing has changed there.

Thanks in advance!

OT: AVI Files

Hi everyone.

I know this is off topic, but I am really getting frustrated with this. My computer has never been able to play AVI Files, and it really sucks, because most TV episodes and large clips I download are usually that type of file. I even have "AVI" checked in my real player for the types of files it can play, but when I go to play them, it won't let me.

Someone I know mentioned that I might need a codec, but I have no idea what that means.

Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated, mucho thanks! ♥

EDIT: I have Windows XP and I use Real player and Windows Media Player.
Thanks to all of you who have helped, I'll try downloading one of those programs right now! =D

PSP tutorial.

This is a full icon tutorial written for PSP 8. Tried to make it beginner friendly, but if you have questions, please ask. It should translate well enough into other versions of PSP, I really don't know about other programs. I may try it in GIMP myself later…anyone who wants to see about PS, I'd love to know how it works.

I'm looking for a certain tutorial and just checked the archives and didn't see it. It was a tutorial about using Pin Light, and the icons she used it on were I think of The Little Mermaid. Can anyone direct me to this?

I have a question about capping stuff to make an animated icon.

I downloaded a Spongebob episode and opened it in Windows Movie Maker to cap the scene I wanted. The episode was pretty good quality to start with but when I cap it and open it in CS2 I get this.

See how its all pizelated and blurry? Help is appreciated! Thanks!

Can anyone help me to find out how to get
this from this?
I tried but I only get halfway close, maybe some of you have a better idea? (if possible.. I'd prefer color layers to curves)

quality of icons

Hiya!

I'm new here and have a question about making icons.
When I try to minimize the base pics to icon size the quality sucks. There are to many pixel and the pic looks a little bit blurry.
I'm using Photoshop CS2 and I would be so glad if anyone can help me. :)

thanks!

Question about animated icons + programs

Occasionally I'll see animated icons of cartoons from the internet. However, since I can't play it in something that can be paused (such as wmp), and I cannot download the specific cartoon, I'm not exactly sure how to create one. I know that animation shop can make animated icons, but is their and other programs that can actually capture entire clips of what you are watching? How would one be able to capture screen by screen pictures in order to make it run perfectly smooth?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can shead more light on the subject.
