I looked in the memories, and I couldnt find exactly what I was lookin for.
I want to make my own dot textures, the ones where the red dot is blurred the bigger it gets. I want to make some in different colors.
I've seen this in a lot of tutorials where it says "apply texture x to this layer" and things like that, but I don't know how to apply a texture to an icon I'm making, and I didn't find it in any of the tutorials. I found how to make textures, but not how to add them to an icon.
(kindergarten language is welcome, yet again)
I looked through the memories for my question and didn't find the answer, so I come asking for help. I know I saw a tut for working with Disney caps. How to brighten them e.t.c., but I can't find it anymore. If anyone knows what I'm talking about and can help me, that would be teh awesome. If I missed this tut in the memories I apologize.
I use PSP X.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Yet another post, though I'm apprehensive about making this one because I'm almost positive that I've looked right over what I need in the memories. But to be fair, I looked all afternoon and couldn't for the life of me find anything relevant to what I need. So here goes:
I'm using PS CS and so far, I've always downloaded (icon-sized) brushes from various sites, always giving proper credit of course. But now I would like to know how to make my own brushes, text brushes to be specific. Can anyone tell me where I can find descent tutorials on this?
And one more thing, probably a rather dumb thing (yeah, I am a noob when it comes to stuff like this). If I do make a brush set of my own and wish to post these for others to download, how does that work? I post a preview and a download link, but I'm a bit unsure on the link part. Do I host the set somewhere first (like Ripway) or do people download it straight from my computer?
My apologies in case the above sounds a little vague, English is not my native language. Hope you know what I mean, though! Thanks a lot in advance!
Okay y'all, I'm having an issue. I've been trying to get screencaps of my favourite movies and I can't seem to get caps when I play them on my laptop. I've tried using Windows Media Player, Dell Media Experience, and Power DVD -- the 3 default programs on my comp. My regular default screencap doesn't work, and neither do the other freeware ones I've downloaded. When I take a cap, the area of the captured screen image where the movie was playing is just a big black box. >_< ! How do you all take your caps? HELP!
edit I should mention that my PowerDVD says it's "PowerDVD DX"... which probably means it's the cheap-o free version that doesn't let me do anything cool at all.
double edit Thanks everyone! I've downloaded a new DVD-player program with built-in screencap capabilities and I am screencapping my fool head off! *squee!*
okay im trying to find this tutorial and i've searched but my internet is being stupid and gah.
well it's a picture of hilary duff and they cut it out and put it on a texture..
so if anyone knows what im talking about PLEASE help because im stuck :(
found it, thanks!
Hey! please help :) I really want to know how to make your icons a different shape. The particular shape I'm looking for is a curved rectangle/square that I've seen lots of people do on their icons/banners so I was wondering if you could tell me how to do it / point me in the right direction. Thanks so much :D I was going to post an example but I couldn't find one ,sorry!
