Sorry this isn't really a tutorial as such, but in a way it's related. What is a stock icon?? I don't really understand what it is. I take it that it's not a person, so is it anything that's not a person in an icon??
I was wondering if brushes for PS7/6 or CS would work in PS5. I found a post in the memories that briefly described it. However, I don't quite understand it, so I was wondering if someone could give me the answer.
I can't seem to find that one tutorial for how to ouline an image exactly.
So this is sort of unrelated to icons but I'm having troubles opening my Adobe Photoshop. Every time it runs through the start-up and then a window pups up saying 'Could not load default brushes because the scratch discs are full'
does anyone know something that could help me?
I use PS7, and I need help with text.
For sans-serif/serif fonts (like Times New Roman, Georgia, Bookman Old Style, Bitstream Vera Serif, ect), what's a good anti-aliasing setting? I need the font small, around 8 px. I've tried multiple settings, and I can't get a good, clean, crisp look. Is it the anti-aliasing setting, or something else? Help please?
Thank you! ^^
I didn't notice this in the memories, so forgive me if it sounds terribly newbie-ish.
I've been making my icons with MS PhotoDraw V2, and while it's not able to do a whole lot, I've been pretty happy with what I can do.
Yesterday, though, I got the disks for Adobe Photoshop 7.0, Adobe Image Ready 7.0, Adobe Illustrator 10, and Dream Weaver. Now, I realize that Dream Weaver is for creating flash and desiging webpages, and a whole host of other things that I've only just started looking at, but I'm confused about the differences between Photoshop, Illustrator and Image Ready. So far, they each look like the same darn thing.
Icon wise, are the programs basically the same, as far as capabilities, or does each one have something special it does?
If, and when, I get ready to start adding to the programs and start experimenting with icons through these programs, are the PS7 downloads loadable to all three, or will I have to work around it?
Thanks in advance.
