STOCK: food - blueberries

probably the most useful thing ever

During my 39 days of offline time, I made a color blending mode guide. Uses red, yellow, blue, green, purple, orange, brown, black, white and grey...and blend modes at 100%, 75%, 50%, and 25% opacity. I used a pic of Tony Munch (my idol) as the pic sample. What I did in this was blending the colors with the pic in each of the layer blending modes. (like screen, hard light, etc)

It's a HUGE 8.53MB picture, so I had to put it in a zip folder..since I can't upload it anywhere. (or you could view full and save it that way)

any questions? feel free to ask. I'll try my best to answer them.

oh yeah, I didn't add the "dissolve" blending mode..it's retarded and useless. it just looks like specks of paint. lol!

Tutorial no. whatever

Have you been to a few websites of some graphic designers? If yes, you surely have seen the famous 3D grids on them. Seriously, they are all over the place. And all that they take to make is 5 min flat.

Learn how to make this -

Can be used in icons, wallpapers, whatever.

Done in Photoshop cs.

RCT: Repetitive Coloring Technique (har har)

S'up. =D Here's my first evar tuto-licious tut.! Nothing real new or fancy, and it's ridiculously easy, but... y'know. Yeah. So... how is it customary to begin...? Ah, yes! The whole before-and-after thing!

(This way if interested... This way if you're not, as well!)

'Twas made with PS7, but I'd bet my soul to Davey Jones (shut up) it's translatable and... y'know, such.

Black & white manga scans?

Does anyone have a good tutorial on how to color b&w scans and make them look good? I found a few tips in memories but not quite what I need... am especially interested in ways to replace toned blocks with a more realistic-looking shading, if there are any. I use Photoshop CS.

tutorial - poppy

Someone requested this tutorial...I didn't save a file of the making of the icon in question, so this tutorial is not exactly the same, but it's close and the basic idea. You'll see that it's very simple. My first tutorial; hope it makes sense. I use PSP8, and I have no idea if it's compatible to other programs but I'd guess that it is.

Leading and Kerning

Ok this has been bugging me forever and I've always used brushes to avoid overcoming the problem. But now i want to do it myself!

When writing your own tiny text on icons, or any text at all for that matter, where are the leading/kerning settings? I've scoured the program but just can't find it.

Thanks in advance, using Photoshop 7! xx

[ETA : Fixed! Thanks guys!]
