(no subject)

Hey everyone. I use PSP8 and I'm kind of confused on a couple of things.

-What does it mean to merge and how do I do it?
-How do I fill a layer with a certain color? I've been trying to figure this out forever, and everytime I'm looking at a tutorial and it says something like, "Make a new layer, set it to Screen and fill it with #FCECD9", I never know how to do it.

I'm sorry if those two questions could be answered in the memories, but I'm not a very good searcher.
Thank you in advance!

Manga icon tutorial question

I feel kind of like an idiot for asking but, um, does anyone know of any good manga icon tutorials? I've been skimming through the memories and the calendar and so far, I've only come up with a few things but not much that interested me.

Thanks in advance! :D

Texture into .PAT file for Photoshop tutorial

I know that there are other tutorials on this, but the other ones that I read had other things involved with it,
more than I was looking for anyway and I was looking for just a very basic, beginner way to make a texture into a .PAT file for Photoshop.
I accually learned how to do this by accident, before I knew about communties like this
and I wanted to share the tutorial that I wrote.

Text Help in PS7

I have no other communities I could ask this at, so I'm hoping it's an accepted question. I'm working on some art in Adobe Photoshop 7 and I have a lot of text I want to type up. Is there any way I can wrap the text like one would in Microsoft Word? I don't want the blocks of text I add to go off the canvas area. If not, then can I get some suggestions? Any help would be appreciated.

two banner tutorials...

Hi, it's my first post here and I have a couple of CSI-themed banner sized tutorials to share with you. :) They're both made in PS7, but are easily translatable I'm sure.

Just click on either of the images (not actual size) and it'll take you to that tutorial at my graphics journal. :)

pretty colouring

i have been browsing the mems looking for icon colourings for cartoon images!!! With no luck! I was wondering if anyone has any tutorials that will give me a really pretty type of colouring on a cartoon image!!! I found one, but it uses pin light and since i use PSP X, i don't have that option!! (i know how vague that sounds, sorry!)

Mini Movies

First thing I'm going to say is that I have looked in the memories, extensively, including under Animation and Imageready.

Ok, mini-movies. The only half-way decent tutorial I found was showing how to do it with a .mpg file. The thing is, I only have a bunch of screen caps. I've had PSCS2 for a while, but I just started using Imageready. I made the icon I'm using now, but it's not all that great, and the one I'm trying to make now is more difficult. I'm trying to figure out if there is an easier way to do this than to put all the frames as layers on the one image, then on the animation window make a new frame, and make the next layer visible, new frame, make next layer visible, and so on. (that's the only way I could figure out how to do it).
