Fake tears

Is it possible to create a tear rolling down someone's face who has no tears on the original picture or have their face glisten a little so it looks like they're crying? I don't have an example since I don't think I've ever seen it done, but I had a good idea for an art and just wanted to know if/how it was possible to create. I use PSP7. :D

My fourth tutorial, featuring the lovely Hamasaki Ayumi. Enjoy.

We are going to go from this to this: .

Using PS 7.0, medium (?) level of difficulty (uses Selective Color), may not be transferrable.

pureskies had made a tutorial to go from this

Before to this After

What I need help on is to have that same effect but I want the colors to be aqua/light blue and gray. I tried using different types of blue but it didn't work as good. If anyone knows a similar effect as that 2nd icon please help. *I use PSP8*

I've seen a lot of really cool tutorials that use selective coloring, but I don't know how to do that. I have Photoshop CS2, can anyone tell me if I have the capability to do so, or if I have to download it?

Icon Tut #1 (coloring)

Go from this:    to this:

This tutorial was done in PSCS and uses selective coloring, so I am not sure how
translatable it is for Gimp or PSP. It works best on images that are more warm
with reds and orange than cooler images with blues.

Looking for a similar program for Mac OS X

I'm trying to learn how to make animated icons, but my biggest problem is getting the right screencaps so that it doesn't look all choppy when I finally put it together. I found a program called ImageGrab that is mentioned in this tutorial and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a similar program that will run on Mac OS X and will allow me to set it to cap every third frame or so the way that does.

I looked through the memories but I didn't find anything mentioning this specifically. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
