If anyone could help me, I'd really appreciate it.
Ten step, Photoshop 7 compatible tutorial, here.
I haven't asked her since she already has been offline for quite some time now. And I don't think I would get a responce. Otherwise I would.
Using Paint Shop Pro. Requires a basic familiarity with the program but can be helpful to beginners as well.
tutorial located at my journal
Any help would be appreciated. I use PSP 9.
I was just curious on how you would go about making something like this.
I just find it eye-poppingly bright and quite pretty, and the maker won't answer me if I ask her. o_0
I use PS7, thanks! :)
I use Photoshop CS2 ( I also have Paint Shop Pro ). I have a silly problem : when I'm making an icon, I work on a huge screencap which I crop. Once cropped, I work on this base and once I like the result, I resize to 100x100 ( I was very careful when I cropped so that the base was for example 400x400 and not 400x450 ). In Photoshop, it's Image > Image Size > 100x100 ( in Paint Shop Pro it's Image > Resize ). The problem is that the characters on my icon look incredibly small once I've done that. You can barely see their faces even though on my huge base cropped they looked perfectly fine. I already saw icons with the same cropping and the characters on them looked normal. Am I doing something wrong ? Or is it completely normal ?

Solved thanks everyone!:)
was using PSPX when I accidentally clicked the maximize button on the window for the graphic that i was working on, which created a screen like this:
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n164/limelitegraphix/helpcorel-1.png Which wouldn't let me get back to the workspace that can hold many windows with different graphics like this:
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n164/limelitegraphix/corelhelp2.png My question is, how do I get it back to the a screen like picture #2 without having to exit the program and open it again?
Thanks in advance!
Earlier I accidentally pressed the slice tool, which I never use. Well, this time when I closed PS it didn't go away like normal. Is there any way to make the stupid dots around the edge of the image disappear? I know that it doesn't show up once the graphic has been saved, but it's still annoying when you're working on something.

Oh, and I use PS7, if that makes a difference. Thanks for any help!
SOLVED! Thanks toydeer. =]
for some reason unknown to me, every time I click on the select box then select what I want, after I let go of dragging, the selected area, or "marching ants" go from being a rectangle or square with sharp edges, so a shape with curved corners and I cannot figure out how to get that to stop.
does this make sense? or more importantly, does anyone know how to stop the marching ants from marching in curved lines? any help is much appreciated.
happy photoshopping to you all!
