First Icon Tutorial~~~

It's a pretty simple one...only seven steps long.

Today I'mma show you how to take this cap of Tomohisa Yamashita [from the Hoshi wo Mezashite PV]:

and end up with this:

Done in Photoshop CS2. Uses Curves and Selective Coloring. Translatable? I dunno... O_O

Learn how to get this from this:

Made it PS 8; uses Selective color, so not translatable. Sorry PSP users! You can download the selective color plug in here.

Check it out HERE at my icon community.

I've Got a Question

I don't know if this belongs here or not, but here's my question.
I just got Photoshop, but it's kinda an older version. It's Photoshop 7.0. Can I do selective coloring with that? x[
Thanks!

People Of Color

Ive been seraching thru the entries here and I can't find a tutorial that will fit people of color, like say Tyra Banks or Djimon Hounsou. Now I know not every tutorial is for every picture but most of the tutorials work for everyone but people of color. So I guess im asking if there is a tutorial out there that will work on a black person. Also I use PS CS.

Printing Projects from Photoshop

I feel kinda silly asking this but I've been using Photoshop 7.0 for years, but recently I have wanted to print projects I made (i.e. icons, wallpapers, banners, etc) in Photoshop. However, when I print them off everything looks so pixelized, especially the font. Is there some sorta special method that I do not know about to avoid this?? Or should I avoid using Photoshop directly to print?

Thanks so much in advance =)

Blue coloring

Hi. I've tried a bunch of the tutorials here and on my mems list and I just can't seem to find a blue coloring tutorial that works well with this picture.

The best coloring I got was this one here and while it is better than the one I currently have I am still not happy with it. Can someone please help me?

I use PSP7. Thanx.

Hi! I'm new. Anyways, I have PSCS2 and I made this icon. I made it too green though and I can't figure out how to get rid of some of that green. If someone can help me that'd be great. Thanks!

Batch command in Photoshop

Okay, could someone help me out here? I have CS2 Version 9.0 and for the life of me, I can not figure out how to batch convert my PSD files to PNG or JPG files. Because I've made a lot of icons and would like to save a lot of time in saving them if there is a batch command, so hopefully this is allowed. I know how to do it in PSP, but of course when I have files with Selective Colour, I can not use them because PSP does not have Selective Colour. Anyone?

I have a question regarding brushes. I looked through the archives/f.a.q's and couldn't find anything. If I missed it I am soooo sorry I must have just skimmed over it.

My question is:

I use Photoshop CS2. I was wondering if there is anyway to upload brushes all at once. I have close to 100 brush sets and it is a major pain in the ass uploading them one by one so I was curious if there is some way to select them all to upload at once. I don't know how else to explain this so if it makes no sense I am sorry. Basically I am just curious if there is some setting or something I am missing that allows you to upload all your brush files at once.

If this doesn't make any sense or has already been answered I am sorry but again I couldn't find anything about it anywhere.

Thank you so much.
