Balloons - Hope where you least expect i, Balloons - Cheering up your gray days

Sakura-falling and gif-icon.

I thought I had this saved in my memories but I can't seem to find it, nor in the communities' memories.

I'm searching for a tutorial on how to add gifs to the picture - especifically, sakura petals. I seem to remember it was an Inu Yasha icon the one done in the tutorial.

Anyway, if you happen to have the link to this tutorial, I'd appreciate it.

Been linked to it.

Mod post: reminder about image size

This is a direct quotation from the community rules:

Use an LJ-cut when posting any image larger than 200x200 pixels, or when posting more than 3 100x100 images.

I can't even keep track of how many times over the last week or two we've had to remind someone to cut an image or use thumbnails.

Remember: 200x200 pixels is no higher than two LJ icons, and no wider than two LJ icons. Now think about the pictures you post...

There are many reasons for this, and it doesn't matter if you don't like the reasons. Some users are still on dial-up. Some users have friends' list formats that can warp easily. Some users (like me, your MOD) maintain the community from work and an 800x wide image of Paris Hilton is not exactly what we want to be displaying to our offices.

Please, respect the rules. The code for an LJ-cut is:

< lj-cut text="This is the Cut Text." >

Just make sure you remove the spaces just inside the < and > brackets.

Please and thank you.

Dr Who!

HELLO! *hug*

Another tutorial (This is becoming a daily occourance...) of David Tennant, playing Dr Who. In cool 3D glasses :D

Going from this to

Made in PSP7, not too sure whether it's translatable... (Any ideas PS/GIMP users?)

tutorial. well, more like a guide

Learn how to turn something like into something like
using PS6 or up. I'm pretty sure it's translatable Since this is a guide, and not a tutorial, I'd say you should probably know what you're doing pretty well or else it may not make sense.

If you have questions, or want to know more specific things, let me know. I'd like to see what you come up with!

Also let me know if you like the guide idea. I feel like people will never learn to be creative with it if they just follow a strict tutorial.

Haden tut!

I am sorry about not resizing the pictures. It hasn't been the easiest day for me today and it just slipped my mind. It won't happen again!

Going from Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting  to 02.png
And then making

All done is PSPx most likely translatable. Everything is under the cut since this is a longer tut(not super long it won't take you a lifetime but its longer than my other tuts)
For this tut you need to have a general idea of what layers are, what adjustment layers are, blending(if its needed) and you need to have creativity! This was very experimental so play around and don't be afraid to try things. ^^
I'd love to see what you guys come up with.
This is easier if your working with smaller things like banners and signatures and icons, its not so easy if your making a desktop. Its harder to get the coloring on the black corset for a desktop(trust me I tried to make a desktop with these pics).

Video capturing.

I have a mac os x laptop, and I am looking for a free program that can video capture on DVD to make icons.
I have VLC, I tried apple + shift +3 or 4, that didn't work for video capture but did work for screencap.

Does anyone know any good program? Thanks!

VLC Media Player Problems.

I used to have this clunker of a desktop, and I used VLC on it to do all my capping for icons. But I recently got a new laptop, and I've been trying to reinstall all my old programs.
So, I got VLC, and installed, and I've been having some problems using it now.
When ever I start a video file [a DVD or a downloaded .avi] the video doesn't show up, and I only get the sound. Does anyone know what driver I'm missing, or what could possibly be wrong?

-*edit*- also, the new computer has vista, if that matters.
