Supernatural Tutorial

Okay, so someone asked me to make a tutorial for one of the icons in my last batch.
I tend to play around a lot and to change my settings randomly, so this got pretty long and might seem a little weird :)
This tutorial is for Photoshop. I use CS2 and have absolutely no clue if it works with the other PS versions or not. Sorry. It uses selective coloring so it won't translate to PSP.

I know I'm probably just missing something really simple, but can somebody tell me how to put a border around my letters in Photoshop 7? I just started using it about a month ago, so I'm still learning the program. Thanks in advance to anybody who can help me out.

"Moving Animations with Fireworks 6.0?"

Yeah, I searched what I think was the whole archives and I didn't find anything that could answer my question as to how to make a moving animation (icon) on fireworks. I know from what I read in the archives that people use Movie maker and VCl but isn't there a way to make them on Fireworks?!

I would really appreciate it if someone could show a tutorial- It's the only program I have (not rich enough to buy the photoshop T.T) so please...

Thanks for the time ^^

First Ever Tutorial

I was asked ever-so-politely by anathem to do this tutorial, so here it is. It's my first ever tutorial, so please be gentle. ;)

We will be making this: from this.

Thirteen steps, PS7, should be translatable.

Warning: Somewhat image-heavy.

Does anyone know how to get a paperdoll cut-out effect on PS7??
I've seen icons and banners with that effect but I don't know how to do it properly! (It looks perfectly cut with a small shadow effect)
I cant find any examples right now, sorry.

Resizing Question, So Confused ...

Hi there,

Okay, I have gone through some of the resizing tutorials hear. However, I am still having a really hard time with this. First, I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 and when I try to resize a picture down to 100X100, weird stuff happens.

When I try to save it. The image turns out into being something like 88 or 116 pixels. When I do the resizing of the image for 100x100, it all ways says that it's 100x100 but it's so not and I know it.

I am going to show a sample icon I have made. It's 116 but when I saved it, it read 100x100. Obviously it's not however.

As a note, I am the worst person at math. So the ratio aspect is killing me. I've been working on this a couple of weeks now my self and I'm just having a hard time with it.

I read dtissagirl 's icon tutorial. I feel like it should be working but it's not. If any one can help that would be great. I don't know what's going on but nothing is saving like it should be.

I'm attempting to make an animation in using PS7 and IR.  I have the animation made, but the only problem is, it is way too big to use on LJ. Is there a way to decrease the size without making the image less that 100x100? I looked in the memories but couldn't find anything. (I could just be looking in the wrong spot)

Any help would be appreciated.

my tutorial 4:color "won-won"

I know this result is not exactly like the original one(see original here), but I've tried my bestXDD

this coloring version is without Selective Color Layer, for valliegurl's request^_^

But, without SC means I use another kind of Layers, so, it's still complicated, blame meXDD

we will go from base to result

made in PSCS

I have PS CS3 Beta. it probably works the same as PS CS2 and I was wondering how to make the brushes the shape of the brush. right now my brush looks not like the brush that I'm using I can't get a cap because it's my mouse and my comp doesn't take a pic of the mouse....I hope you understand what I'm saying thanks in advanced!

ETA: I have a Mac if that makes a difference.
