Help!

I've been playing around with this base, trying all sorts of brightening tutorials as well as my own techniques, but it always seems to look either washed-out or way too dark! Any suggestions?

It's from The Academy Is...'s video for We've Got A Big Mess On Our Hands.

Looking for a tut

COuld someone please help me?I made this banner a little while back using an icon tutorial, and me being the genius I am forgot to save it.I would really appreciate it if someone could please help me find that tutorial. Thanks! This is the banner I made:
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

(no subject)

to celebrate that i am starting a new journal, i start off with a tutorial, that i think should be fairly simple and straight forward to follow!

I used Photoshop CS2 for this icon, however, this tutorial only requires curves, plus an optional pen tool!
( it's only natural )

If you liked this tutorial, go ahead and add me! As you can see, I started this journal very recently, but I will have a batch of icons up extremely soon!

Gimpshop Help

Please!

Ive just downloaded Gimpshop, but I dont know how to do the Curves, Hue/Sat, or any of that stuff! I normally use PS but I wanted to see what Gimpshop is all about.

Do you have to make a new transparent layer then Image > Adjustments > Curves Or is there another way. Whenever I do it the way I just said it dosent work whatsoever!

I would be forever grateful if someone could show me xxx

Photoshop 7 Image Pack Difficulty

Hi everyone, I'm having a little bit of a problem.
I recently switched from PSP8 to PS7. Iv'e mostly got all my initial questions answered, but now after checking the memorials and playing around, I still can't figure out how you can use imagepack brushes. Iv'e checked the memories, and I dont know if Im not looking correctly or what, but I can't seem to find anything useful or at least, anything I understand.

All help is appreciated, thanks in advance =)

Blink

fading from one frame to another....HELP

In Photoshop CS2 and Image Ready.

I'm having a problem. I'm trying to make a text icon that fades from one frame to another. I keep having problems with the opacity of the frames. And also when I use "tween" my other layers don't show up. I've looked it up in the memories and tried following the instructions in this entry where someone asked about fading. I've tried everything and I can't get it to work.

Here are my layers in Photoshop CS2.
the text icon layers

After I click on "Make frames from layers" it looks like this in Image Ready. I want it to fade and transition between each frame. Like I said I've tried "tween" but it's not working.

What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: Thanks for helping me everyone. I've learned how to do it and it's not as hard as I thought. :)

Help please!

I was just preparing my next icon post, when I noticed some weird white dots scattered over some of my icons, old and new. They are only in dark/black areas and look as if pixels were erased randomly.
I looked over my photobucket account and they are everywere, but when I take a screencap and open it in my graphics program (Corel Photo Paint 11, but I don't think that's important) everything looks normal.

Here some examples of what I mean:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

So, do you see that white dots too, or am I imaginig things? What does photobucket do to my icons, or is it my screen (of a relativley new laptop)? Has anybody ever seen something like this and what can I do about it?

Help, please!!!

ETA: I have restarted my computer and the evil pixel eaters seem gone. Wherever they came from, may they stay away forever!

This effect

My brain in failing me, and I'm wondering how to copy a section of the picture into this shape or any other for that matter. I tried using a custom shape and couldn't figure it out. I'm using PS7.

Problem with PSP8

Hello,

sorry I'm french, so my english sucks...=_=
I use PSP8 in order to make icons, but I see the others make white borders effects like that (around the character) : http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u98/Gouki_2007/kon.png or shadow effects around the characters (like that : http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f98/memoryblade/100_challenge/weapon.png ) with Photoshop
How can I achieve this kind of effect with Paint Shop Pro 8 ?

Thanks in advance.

en français

Coucou,

Merci ^-^
