Photoshop 5.5 Question.

A friend of mine is using PS 5.5 and she is having problems resizing brushes. Is there a way to do it besides manually making a new brush that is smaller? I have ps cs2 so I'm of no use to her! I checked the archives but I couldn't find anything that pertained to her version! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a quick question about animating in GIMP. I've done it before, I'm familiar with how to do it. I have my gif's. When I try to load them into separate layers, the first one I load (background) turns out just fine. Every one I load after that looks really....weird? I don't know the technical term for it. I looked around memories under "animation" and "gimp" and couldn't find anything. There's a picture of my problem behind the cut. If I open each gif separately, there are no problems. It's only when I open them in layers.

Photoshop CS2 brush question.

I looked in the archives and didn't find anything that pertained to this and I was looking for some help. I'm totally and utterly new to PS.

My friend was helping me make icons this afternoon and I downloaded some brushes and wanted to put one on an icon but when I went to load it, i opened the folder and there was nothing in it!

Am I a complete idiot or is there something wrong with my Photoshop or something?

Thanks in advance!

Online photo editing

Picnik is, according to Yahoo!'s promo page:

From sepia to soften, Picnik's photo editor lets you apply any number of effects. Now all we need is an old gum tree. You probably have hundreds or thousands of digital photos on your PC. And a lot of those photos would probably benefit from a little tweaking. But that doesn't mean that you have to download and install photo editing software. Picnik supplies a nice suite of tools for editing photos online. All you have to do is upload your photos, or have Picnik grab them from a site like Flickr (which doesn't have editing features), and then get to work. Picnik offers tools aplenty for performing simple editing--cleaning up red-eye or resizing photos, say--as well as doing more-extensive work, such as changing the exposure, fixing a color cast, or applying special effects.

Haven't tried it out myself but thought others here might find it useful.

Someone told me that there's a program you can download for Photoshop elements that contains the curves and selective colouring applications. They said it was in the mems, but I searched high and low and can't find it.

I'm desperate for it, so if anyone could point me to it, I'd love them forever!

Hi

well I have a question, but I'm not shure if this is the right place to ask this, but I think so.
Since January I have a Mac, instead of a PC. On my PC I've had Cyberlink, to make screencaps.
Well but now on MacOsX, you can't use cyberlink, so I'm searching for a programme where you can make screencaps for animations, and it has to be compatible with MacOsX.
Does anyone know a programme like this?

thanks in advance

Animation Help...

I looked through the memories and couldn't find anything, so any help would be appreciated like WOA!

Ok, so this is my first ever shot at making animated icons and I'm soo confused. I don't have the clips of the part I want to make the icon of, BUT I do have the movie and I tried, but I couldn't figure out how to make a clip of the part.

Also, I DO have the caps of the parts I want to animate, but I don't know how to make them into the correct format and all that stuff. And, unless I misread the memories, they need to be in mpg format. How do I do that from bmp format?

Again, thanks so much for your help. I usually try to figure stuf out myself, but this is way over my head. Thanks :]

Okay, I went and downloaded the version of these tools for Photoshop Elements 5. The problem is, I can't find the right folder to put it in! Can anyone help me? The insturctions on the site itself weren't too helpful, as the configuration of Elements 3 isn't the same as Elements 5.

Thank you!
