Hi! I need two things.. :D

1.) Tut on rounded corners for Adobe Photoshop CS3.....

2.) What kind of tut could I use to make his make-up pop and his blue eyes pop, but not to the extent when they almost look fake...? Also, I don't want the colour to pop TOO much to where the make-up looks like blood, or ripped off skin. =P

coloring help?

Hello! Can anyone help me? I feel a bit silly asking this.. but I made this icon: and I can't remember what I did for the coloring. Does anyone know how to get this coloring? Thank you in advance! Oh by the way, I'm using Photoshop Elements and I didn't use any selective coloring or curves. The original image looked like this:

I've seen a lot of icons that look like similar effects to there 2 lately and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a tutorial that gives you a similar icon:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I have tried looking through lots of tutorials but just can't find what I'm looking for.
acc [you'll come back when it's over]

two tutorials.

This was my first time doing icon tutorials, sooo... I tried to explain the "why" rather than just the "what", so hopefully I succeeded in that. XD

Go from Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket to Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket in six hopefully easy steps!

Made in Photoshop CS2, uses an optional selective coloring layer. I'm writing this assuming you know the basics of cropping, sharpening, blending modes, etc.

See it here at cheesecake_icon.

This coloring I really like because it adds rich, earthy tones to a fairly muted icon (i.e., an icon made from Zack's super-gray death scene! >_>). This is a nice coloring because it stands on its own, but you can also dress it up with a selective color layer or a dark blue exclusion layer or whatever when you're done.

Made in Photoshop CS2, translateable. I'm writing this assuming you know the basics of cropping, sharpening, blending modes, etc.

Thanks for looking!

How to make this effect

Hi, I'm new here. :D I started making icons (and using CG in general) earlier this year so I have a lot to learn. I've been wondering how  to make the animated effect seen in the two icons below, where the frames (of image or text) sort of fades or shifts into each other.

Usually when I do animation the transition between the frames is very quick and kind of jarring. I asked my friend who made that first icon you see there, and she said she used something called "toggle", but I can't seem to figure out what that is and how it works. A tutorial or link to a preexisting tutorial about these types of effects is very much appreciated.

(I use Photoshop CS2 btw, in case that's important)

Coloring :: Turnin Manga (u know the black n white ones) to Colored..

I think I've read it a month ago  ( not sure). It was an awesome guide but I haven't memo it, instead I put it in my bookmark and it got deleted. (in some weird way.. ionno how it got deleted) Haha. Clumsy meh leh? Lol. anyway, if someone could point me to that specific post in this community I'd be very very very happy. :D So, yeah. Where can I find it? :D

Thanks~

first-ever tutorial!

going from Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket to Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket.

+ PS 7.0
+ uses selective coloring, color balance, hue/saturation, and color layers. idk if that's translatable or not.
+ should be easy if you know where to find everything.

over here.
