Hello, I have a simple question regarding banners or icons using animation effect.

For example,

I tried looking at previous tutorials about animations but  I could not understand them.
Seemed like the tutor assumed that I knew how to make slides?
I was completely lost after I transfered my layers to image ready.

I am using Photoshop CS II, so please help me.

thank you :]

Curves Question

I'm fairly new with using Photo CS3 Extended
But I have a problem with only one aspect of the program
Which is Curves
>.<

I know how to use Curves
But for some tutorials they have two points of color
i.e. RGB; Input#1: 76 Output#1: 34
Input#2: 120 Output#2: 96

And they will have it like that for RGB, Reds, Greens, and Blues
So my question is;

How do you do the other inputs and outputs?
me, ooh she nakey, nakey, jae, watercolor jae

Suggestions??

I know this is officially an icon tutorial community, but you guys in here usually have all the answers!! So, if you could...(besides this could come in handy for someone in an icon, somehow..right?! lol)

I am trying to achieve text similar to this, and was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a tutorial that could help me, or at least offer suggestions.

I will be using PS CS3 (and have CS2) for this project. Thanks in advance!!

Thanks!!!!

ETA: I am after the effect that was applied to the font, not the font itself...

I don't know if this makes much sense but i'm using photoshop cs and I used to be able to preview each font from the drop-down menu before I typed. Now it doesn't display each font anymore so I have to highlight my text and go through each one to find a specific font. Is there some way to fix this?

Also I installed a font onto my computer (mac) and it will show up in the regular format in word/stickies/etc. but not in photoshop, it only shows up in the script format not the regular format. I've reinstalled it 5 times already.
