Okay, I know there is a tutorial out there for the lens flare but I cannot seem to find it. I use Photoshop CS. Anyone have one handy?
Hey all. I don't have a tutorial for you to enjoy today, but I have a question about Photoshop (I use PS7, but I don't think this is exclusive to 7), and I would love some help, because this is killing me and makes me want to beat PS with a smoked haddock.
Working in PS, it always displays really rich colours--popping reds, healthy greens, bright golds, deep blues--but after I've saved my icons/headers/etc., the colours are always slightly devalued. The red is paler, the greens are weaker, the golds are more like yellow, the blues too light. It's always been this way, and I've always been unhappy with it. I can make an eye-popping graphic in PS, but when it's saved, it's more like "alright" than "that's cool." I always save my files as JPEGs, and at 10 or 12 levels of quality, but that's never stopped the desaturation. Recently, I tried saving a bunch of files as BMPs, PNGs, TIFFs instead, to see if that would help; nope.
So my question is, do any of you out there know how to retain the colour integrity from PS to saved file, without ending up with a slightly desaturated saved version? Any help would be so appreciated, you guys. Thank you! ♥
This has probably been asked many times before and I'm sorry if you get tired of this one.
How do you make rounded edges on headers? This could apply to icons too I suppose. You know what I mean though? Instead of the corners coming to points like a square but rounded edges. (Of course you know what I mean)
Sorry I don't have an example. Oh and yeah I use Photostop 7.0. I know hwo to do it in PSP but I can't seem to figure it out on Photoshop and since my PSP doesn't want to work anymore I was just wondering!
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!!
I'm interested in making fractals and wondered which programs are the best to use? I think this can be done in Photoshop alone but I know there is specific fractal-making software available. If you have a program you have used, please let me know what you think of it. I don't know if it's worth buying a separate program or just using Photoshop (I use CS3 in case it matters). Thanks.
