Photoshop question

I'm hoping you guys can help me. Lately when I make icons (in Photoshop 7.0) I have been having a problem with moving text layers. Whenever I add text, it doesn't matter how many layers there are, when I try to move the text I've just created it will jump down to another layer and grab that instead. Even if it's just the locked image and the text it will select the fixed layer instead. So I'm forced to nudge the text with the arrow keys. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Or is it just my computer/program being stupid and I'll just have to deal?

Thanks in advance!

This is making me want to pull my hair out.

Okay, every time I create a selevtive coloring layer then try to add another one right after, it freezes.
And it's ONLY when I create a selective coloring layer, never any other adjustment layer.
I'm not exactly sure WHY it's doing this, but it's driving me nuts.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

For the record, I use Photoshop CS.

EDIT: problem solved, thanks guys C:

hello there

I simply want to join the fun of creating a tutorial

sometimes I like to put some movement into my icons, so here I want to show the general tools I use when doing this

program: photoshop CS3 extended
translatable: most likely, if you have something like the unsharpen mask and radial blur

I think it's easy, if you don't understand what I did or you search for the settings, ask me, I don't bite

now we'll do this:

any comments?
wanna show what you did?
I'd love to see that

just drop me a note if you want to see the psd

Can anyone tell me if there's a way to put an animation/mini-movie onto a texture on Photoshop CS3. (Or, really any other image editing software. I have Animation Shop and GIMP too, just in case there are ways to do it on there.)
Right now I'm trying to put a gif like this:

Onto a texture like this:

(Like in the middle of it)
I looked in the mems, googled it, everything, and I can't find a way to do it. So is this even possible?
I know how to put an icon directly onto a plain texture, but I was just wondering if there was a way to like put the texture over the gif, multiply it, and then have the gif directly in the middle inbetween the border and all. (Like you can do with a normal texture/picture)

Sorry if this was confusing XP
