Very short and easy tutorial on using the smudge tool to get a smoky effect.

Smudge effect inspired by thewonderlife. In GIMP, but this is incredibly basic, so I think it should definitely translate. And... I'm sorry to the mod, but I have no idea how to tag this, so I just tagged it with my program. :X Let me know if anything else should be added.

this; .

This tutorial does not include the coloring, but I do have the PSD, for those who are interested — it's just one Curves layer. Unfortunately, I am clueless when it comes to PSDs, so if it doesn't work, I can't do much to help you. :'D Anyway, on we go!

RESOLVED: colours warped on photoshop

I've been using Photoshop for many years, but only recently have I had a problem with it.
All of the images that I view/edit in it are tinted purple, and I do not understand why or know how to fix it. When I upload the images they look fine, but when viewed on photoshop they are all tinted.
here's a screencap.
The images are no different, except that the left one is viewed in a web browser and the right one is viewed in photoshop.

Do you know how I can fix this?
Thanks!
Just let me know if you need more information. :)

[edit] resolved, thanks!

Is ImageReady on Vista different from XP?

Okay I was on a friends computer who has the same version of Photoshop and image ready as I do, but something is weird. I have Vista and they have XP. On my Vista  in imageready I am able to open videos ... On their xp imageready they cannot open videos; and on theirs, when you look at the readable file list there is no AVI, MOV, etc ... why is that?
