Poor Little Princess

Looking for similar tutorials...

Hopefully I'm not breaking any rules by asking this, but I was wanting to know where I could find more tutorials like the one posted earlier today by jloiconsarchive, where the icon ended up looking like this:

Basically, tutorials that not only work with coloring, but also textures and text. I've been making icons for several months now, but really want to learn more! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Text only Icons

I'm interested in making some very basic text only icons. I'm talking solid color background and text on top. no brushes, no textures. nothing too fancy. I've checked through the memories and didn't come across anything that seemed to fit what I was looking for. I use PS CS2. And if anyone could point me in the right direction I would be very thankful.

Thanks in advance!

Well, okay. I made the .psd for this a while ago but I didn't make a tutorial for it. So I decided that everyone that's a member of this community and not others that don't require you to post the entire tutorial should be able to see it, too, because I got a lot of positive feedback on it. So, anyway, I hope you like this tutorial and if you want the .psd, go here and comment if you're taking it...thanks so much!

We are going from this: to this: in Photoshop CS3. Alright, here we go!

Question: Snow tutorial for ImageReady

Does anyone know if there is a tutorial for falling snow for ImageReady? I'm asking because when I found this tutorial (it's for Animation shop 3) and tried it out it did not really work for me, so I thought that maybe there is one made specifically for ImageReady somewhere out there.

Or, if someone could tell me what I did wrong, that would also be extremely helpful.

This was my base:

And this is what I finally managed to get (don't ask me how, I'm not sure if I remember anymore):

It wasn't supposed to be black and white.

Other than ImageReady, I use Photoshop ME 7, in case that matters.

Thank you in advance. :D
