Help: QuickTime & Photoshop CS3

I'm using Photoshop CS3 and I have a problem with QuickTime (the last version 7.6)
When I import a video (.mov) to convert it to GIF I can't see the QuickTime bar to select just a few seconds of the video.
Here you have a screencap:

More info: I use Windows XP and I installed Photoshop CS3 before install QuickTime (is that the problem?)
Does anybody have the same problem? How can I fix it?
All ideas are welcome.
Thanks! :)

Sorry for my bad english.

Text Icons

So I don't know if there's really any tutorials on this. But I really want to make text icons, but I've never been much good at them. But I know a lot of people make really good, different ones. So I was wondering if anyone knew of any tutorials they could point me in the direction of?

I use PSCS 4
Rachel B

Black and White.

Hello everyone (:

I'm using Photoshop CS2 and I was asked to make an icon out of THIS Black and White picture from Twilight . All the guys have to be on it, so I can't do that many effects (blends or something). I thought about putting color and a little text on it but that looked boring.
So my question (not only about this picture but also in general):

Do you know any good tuts for turning boring b/w pictures into special and exciting icons?

Thanks! ♥;
