So I did this colouring in Photoshop, which I've only just got. Then I tried to duplicate in GIMP. I doubt I did very well, but the effects for both are nice. (:

From [original --> photoshop or gimp]
Photobucket --> Photobucket or Photobucket
Photoshop version uses > selective colouring
Gimp version uses > hue/sat, fill layers, channel mixer

GIMP version

(Now that I look at them side by side, I've noticed this version also mutes the colours. That's nice. (: )

I hope you managed to stay with me this far, hehe. And I'd love to see results, to either of the above. xD Oh -- I'm writing at 1 in the morning (I'm smart. I know) so let me know if mistakes have appeared.

Magic Wand tool in PSCS3

Hello. I recently upgraded from PSCS to CS3. Most things are translatable but the only thing I'm a little confused about is the magic wand tool which appears to have been renamed the "quick selection tool".

1) Previously in CS, You could choose a level of sensitivity on a scale of 0 to 100. For instance if you wanted to select white and shades of off-white you might choose 50. But if you wanted to select white but no off-white, you'd choose 10.

However, in CS3 I do not see that option and the quick select tool. Can anyone tell me how to optimize this tool?

2) Also...a quick tip idea for CS3...in CS I was able to just scroll up on my mouse and zoom in on a canvas. Is there a way to turn that on in CS3?

Thanks so much for any and all help!!
