Icon Tutorial: Animation

Tutorial.

Because there was interest, I figured I'd try my hand at a tutorial. I'm a newbie still, so there are probably faster and easier ways to do some of these things, but this is how I like to animate icons.

This is my first tutorial and English is not my native tongue, so please point out areas that aren't clear.

We'll be making something like this:

(Present for bethie_p, please do not take.)

Using: PSP9 and AS.
Translatable: Probably.
Level: Easy/Medium
Notes: This tutorial assumes you can make your own screencaps. If you don't know how to, please check the archives at icon_tutorial for help.

Cesc Fabregas Banner Tutorial

Back with another tutorial! Here's what we will be making:
Photobucket

Translatable: Completely!
Image-heavy: There's a lot, a LOT of textures in this one but images will be posted as thumbnails.
Program: Photoshop CS4
Difficulty: This I would have to say is NOT beginner friendly but anyone can try it!

NOTE: Because there are no adjustment layers (can you believe it?!), after a few steps I'll be posting the 'outcome so far' and that will not be a thumbnail.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: This tutorial is quite long so if you are planning to try it grab some food or something first :)

Tutorial # 22

8 Moderate Steps
Translatable: Has one Selective Colouring layer that makes a difference if not included
Uses: Hue/Sat, Selective Colouring, Colour Balance, and Curves
Difficulty: Medium
Using: Adobe Photoshop
PSD: Yess !
I tried to thoroughly explain all the steps as well as adding along some screenshots,
so this tutorial should still be understandable to even beginners
(WARNING: Some screenshots may be image heavy)

Question: how do I get the wavy/watery effect like on the following photo ? I've checked the Archives in this community but can't seem to find anything . Maybe there's an easy filter that I do not know of ? I use Adobe Photoshop 7.0 by the way .

Any help will be appreciated !
