![]() 02. Create a New Layer (Ctrl+Shift+N) and fill it with a dark-blue (#08002E). Set the layer's blend mode to Exclusion. ![]() ![]() 03. Create another new layer and fill it with a light purple (#E9A5FF). Set the layer blend mode to Soft Light and lower the opacity to 82%. ![]() ![]() 04. Go back to your base and duplicate it (Ctrl+J). Drag that layer to the top and set to Soft Light. ![]() ![]() 05. Create a new layer and fill with a dusty light blue (#9BCADD). Set the layer to Color Burn. (The opacity may vary depending on the contrast of your base). ![]() ![]() 06. The icon is looking a little bit dark, so go back to your base and duplicate it. Bring it to the top and set the layer to Screen at 80%. ![]() ![]() 07. Now, Mary Kate's looking a tad pale, so create a new layer and fill it with a light pink (#FFD4ED). Set the layer to Color Burn. You may lower the opacity; I left it at 100%. ![]() ![]() 08. Create a new layer and fill it with a light tan (#F2E5D2). Set the layer to either Darken, Multiply, Color Burn, or Linear Burn depending on your base and preference. For this particular icon, I set it to Color Burn at 100%. ![]() ![]() And there you have it! Text, brushes, etc. are optional. I'd love to see your results! :] |
