TUTORIAL #1

From this:  to this:

Made in Photoshop CS2.

Not sure if it's transferable.

NO SELECTIVE COLORING!

Involves flood fill layers and curves.

Not very hard.

This is my first tutorial I've made, so don't shoot me if it's bad!

ø Firstly, get your base & resize etc. Sharpen now if you want, but you can do that last. This tutorial works best on people with fair skin, so lighten and adjust your picture if you need to. For mine, I had to duplicate her twice and sharpen her, and then erase it over the background so it was more out of focus, then merged together to create my base.

ø Then, I duplicated the base and set it to Soft Light 100%

ø I then added a flood fill layer #04ded6 and set to Color Burn 20%

ø Don't worry about how it looks now, it'll turn out fine later. Then I added another flood fill layer #000544 and set to Exlusion 50%

ø Then I added another flood fill layer of #ffa9fc and set it to Color Burn 48%

ø Then, lastly the final color fill layer of #fd9457 and set it to Darken 22% (You could also possibly use #fdd457, but I generally found that #fd9457 worked better).

ø Now make a new Curves Adjustment Layer and put in the following

(input; output)

RGB

            63;72

            137;168

RED

            73;91

            127;133

            212;199

BLUE

            35;30

            113;106

            184;178

ø Now you're finished! Flatten all your layers and add text or whatever you want. For mine, I added 'helena' in a font called Dear Joe Four at 11pt.

Let me know if you like it, and I'd love to see results!

It also goes without saying, play around with the opacity of layers to find what works out best for your image.
