Program: Photoshop CS3
Steps: 12

Please bare with me, its my first "big" tutorial.

01. First I made a new blank canvas, I chose to make it the size 700x500 px.

02. I opened the pictures I wanted to use, which you can find here

03. I took one of the pictures, resized it to the height of 600 px (the width comes automaticly)

04. Dragged it onto the blank canvas, it should now look somewhat like this

(dont mind the black backround, yours is probably gray)

05. Then I went to rotate it a bit, by going Edit>Transform>Rotate

06. I did the same thing with the rest of the images, just diffrent potitions (of course)
Mine looks like this now:

(Don't worry if you havent filled out the hole canvas yet, we'll get to that later)

07. So now it looks rather odd, since we havent done any blending, so lets do that.

Theres severale ways of blending, but right now I'm going to use the Eraser tool. I chose the Soft Edged brush, size 100 px, opacity 50 %, and started erasing on the first picture:

Then do this to the rest of the images where its needed. (if you are going close to keira, you should use the hard edged brush and 100 % opacity instead)

Mine now looks like this:

08. Now onto the parts of the canvas that isnt covered yet. Theres an amazing tool "Smudge tool" which you can find if you right click on your blur/sharpen tool.

First I merged all of my layers (layer > merge visible).

Here's a great tutorial on how to use the smudge tool.

09. Lets do some coloring.
I used this tutorual (by myself)
(i dublicated the soft light layer, and put it on 70%)

10. Now, lets add a texture. I added this texture (sorry, i don't know who made it), and put it on Lighten 100%

This is how mine looks like now:

11. Text time!
I made a new text layer, and typed "Sorrow, broken hearts, lonelyness" In the font Edwardian Script, anti alias: crisp, size 30 pt. I rotated the text a little bit.
Then I added another text layer, and wrote "The lifestory of a princess", and rotated it.
This is how mine looks like now:

12. Lastly, I added a 1 px white border.
