{Snow Tutorial}

Every year around X-Mas (although Novemeber is early lol) i always want to make a snow icon, but i always forget how to lol, so i'm finally getting around to making a tutorial. I hope its helpful and as always i think my version is the easiest lol haha.

The Tutorial

01: Get your image resize sharpen etc. (I'm using Flight of the Conchords)
02: For Colouring i used this tut HERE (You can use whatever colouring you like this tut is mainly just for the animation.)
03: Now your have your icon ready for animation, make sure you merged all your layers.
(*IF YOU ARE LAZY SKIP TO 11* )
04: Now you want to open up a 100x500 on the colour pick black (or blue)
05: With your paintbrush tool, make some small or large dots on the image see below

06: Merge that together. Open up a 100x100 and paste your 100x500 block onto it. (DO NOT MERGE THAT)
07: Your 100x500 has 5 blocks your last block should start the first animation. So with your move tool push the animation up, merge that so you should have this.
merge that copy and paste it as a new image. Go back to your merged block un merge it (so your not having to copy and paste constantly) and with your move tool pull the image down a tiny bit (depending on how slow or fast you want the snow to fall)
08: Keep doing that until you have as many or as little blocks as you want.
09: Open up Animation Shop (or whatever programme you use)
10: Paste your blocks into AS paste one block after the current frame.
11: MY EXAMPLES
my blocks - the animation moving
12: Now back to PSP8 with your image you want the snow on.
13: Copy and Paste one block at a time from AS as a new layer on your icon.
14: Set it to screen, and sharpen it too. Merge all
15: Copy and paste that into AS and continue until you used all your blocks of snow.
16: And you now should have moving snow.
17: Also i wanted something chrismassy i went into Google images and found some Santa hats lol and resize them to 40 and put them on the icon.

GOT CONFUSED...HERE'S SOME HELP

Open PSP8, ANIMATION SHOP 3
Get your picture, resize it colour it etc.
Open this in AS3
Duplicate your image (the one you want snow on) 4 different times as 4 different images.
Copy and paste the snow blocks from AS3 into your images on PSP8 set it to screen 100. Merge them
Copy and paste the PSP8 images into AS3 as a new animation and your done.

lol, i didn't realise this was gunna look this confusing, hopefully chicks you can make something from it lol :D
as ever, i would luff luff to see your finished results :D
